As a visual and interface designer, the right candidate should know what good usability is when it comes to designing websites and web applications, especially with regards to content presentation. Applicants must also have a high-level of competency in delivering standard-compliant, multi-browser compatible code and have a strong understanding of Open Source CMS.

Responsibilities include

• Analyze User Interface problems and create client-centered design solutions in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator by considering industry analysis, client and management input and technical constraints
• Transform Photoshop files into Online wired frames via HTML, CSS and functional JavaScript animations
• Collaborate closely with Web Developer to integrate wire frames into respective CMS themes

Technical Requirements

• College Diploma in Web design or Web-related technologies is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a visual/user interface designer and front-end developer
• Expertise coding standards-compliant HTML and CSS (with ability to write reusable and scalable markup). Knowledge of CSS3 and HTML5. Hands on experience working with JavaScript libraries and PHP
• Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and other design and production software
• Experience with Joomla templating (knowledge of Joomla, and WordPress is a plus)
• Passion for user interface design, web standards, usability and accessibility
• Experience designing and prototyping interactive interfaces
• Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team
• Capacity to balance multiple priorities and tasks

Twitter Management:

• Create conversations with influencers and our ideal audience
• Follow/Unfollow people under company guidelines
• Participate in Twitter parties/chats
• Tweet and re-tweet articles and relevant content
• Respond to all mentions
• Promote Bwired Services
• Connect with influential bloggers who cater to our ideal audience

Facebook Management:

• Post and sharing relevant content and articles
• Respond to comments and messages
• “Like” other relevant bloggers/business pages
• Participate on other bloggers/business pages

Education, Skills and Experience:

• Currently enrolled in College or University in related field
• Excellent writing, grammatical, spelling and communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and equivalent applications
• Good understanding of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and social networking in general
• Existing or recent blogging experience in Internet technology around Open Source
• Working knowledge of social media tools like HootSuite, TweetDeck, Cloud monitoring, etc...

Your work will include:

• Prospecting  and client education:
  • Prospecting and approaching new clients
  • Attending local business networking events
  • Entering, tracking, and following up with leads using customer relationship management (CRM)
  • Reporting to the General Manager on the status of leads and conversions

• Quoting and proposals:
  • Analyzing the needs of potential and existing clients and providing solutions that best fit their business needs
  • Proposal writing and request for proposal (RFP) responses
  • Estimating and quoting a variety of web-based projects

• Sales-closing and project scheduling:
  • Closing sales and scheduling projects (contract signings)
  •  Presenting the scope of projects to the Director of Online Development, and briefing the web development and internet marketing team on project requirements

• Ongoing client relationship management:
  • Maintaining ongoing client relationships
  • Performing post-production customer satisfaction surveys
  • Offering additional services to existing clients

To qualify for this position, you should be able demonstrate:
